My darling Mother: -
Well I go back to the detention camp to day as soon as my washing on the line drys as I put out a large washing; so when you come down Thurs I’ll be over there and not in the pest house.
Tell Gertrude that I got both of her letters and sure was glad to hear from my dear little Aunt and will answer as soon as I get a chance. The easter eggs were fine so I didn’t have such a bad easter sunday after all. Give my love to my three little sweethearts next door and tell them how I enjoyed their easter eggs. They sure were fine but I would like to save them as a remembrance.
Well Mother I’ll have to pack my things and move again so will close for now
with Love to all
